Staked tomato plants. The tomatoes are about 1 foot tall.
I built cages out of hog (sheep) wire which has approximately 1 foot
in diameter with openings 2" x 5" , This allows the tomato branches
to grow throw the openings. I then secure them with metal fence
posts.
Even though we had 2" of rain last week the soil was beginning to
dry, as we have not had rain for several months I irrigated the beans
and squash which are about 1" tall.
