Plums from Texas

Dad shared some sweet plums with us when we visited on June 4. They were grown on the farm in Texas. He had enough to make a number of jars of plum jelly.

A View of My Garden

My garden is coming along nicely. I'm still unsure about quantities and planting enough at one time to have the right amount for meals. I either have too much or not enough. Lettuce -- just right. Radishes - just right because I'm the only one who eats them. Peas - don't seem to have enough planted.

First from the Garden

I'm getting juicy and perfectly sweet and spicy radishes. I've never liked them before, but last year tried a fresh radish from Merithe's garden and it was wonderful.

My home garden has their first peas. Not enough to serve, but enough to snack on and wonderfully sweet.

I am also getting a steady supply of mixed greens. It has a little too strong of a taste, but still good in a salad. I used a elegance greens mix. I'm trying an old seed of greens from Agway to balance the taste. My arugula is also growing well and I can pick the baby greens to eat in the salad.
